The warp knitted spacer fabric automatic breaking detectionsystem exhibited in Fujian Industrial 4.0 exhibition area of the 13th"China 6.18 Strait Project Achievement Fair" has attracted greatattention from leaders at all levels in Fujian Province, Quanzhou City andJinjiang City.

This system is developed and designed by Jinjiang Huayu WeavingCo., Ltd. of Fujian Province and Jinjiang Robot Research and Development Centerof Harbin University of Technology. The system is applied to warp knittingmachine of textile industry. Through light feedback and video recognitiontechnology, the broken wires are detected, and the detection data are passedthrough wireless network system. Enter CNC center, realize automatic control,basically realize unmanned operation, greatly reduce labor, while greatlyimproving product quality and production efficiency.

Improve product quality:

The original manual testing, due to the existence of workexperience, work intensity, fatigue and sense of responsibility and otherfactors, the defective product rate is very high, the qualified rate is only60-70%. Through the research and development of the project, automaticdetection of broken wires and automatic shutdown are realized, avoiding theproduction of grey fabric waste, the qualified rate can reach more than 92%.

Basic realization of unmanned workshop:

In the original production site, one person managed two looms.After using the automatic detection and control system, only one worker per 20warp knitting machines was needed on average, which increased the efficiency ofloom management by more than 10 times and basically realized the unattendedworkshop.
